ameO <br /> MANUFACTURER shall participate in and comply with all items in these SPECIFICATIONS and <br /> requirements of the CQA plan. <br /> B. CONTRACTOR shall ensure that each geogrid MANUFACTURER that supplies materials to this <br /> project has an internal product quality control program that meets SPECIFICATIONS. <br /> C. Geogrid rolls that do not meet the requirements of this SPECIFICATION will be rejected. <br /> CONTRACTOR shall replace the rejected material with new material that conforms to the <br /> SPECIFICATION requirements,at no additional cost to CC&V. <br /> 1.05 DELIVERY,STORAGE,AND HANDLING <br /> A. Packing and Shipping <br /> I. Labels on each roll delivered to Site shall identify the following. <br /> a. MANUFACTURER's name <br /> b. Product Identification <br /> C. Thickness <br /> d. Roll number <br /> e. Batch or lot number <br /> f. Roll dimensions <br /> 2. CONTRACTOR shall ensure that geogrid rolls are properly loaded and secured to prevent <br /> damage during transit. <br /> 3. CONTRACTOR shall protect geogrid from excessive heat, cold, puncture, cutting, or <br /> other damaging or deleterious conditions. <br /> 4. CONTRACTOR shall ensure personnel responsible for loading,transport, and unloading <br /> of geogrid are fully aware of the consequences of damage to geogrid,and are familiar with <br /> handling and transport constraints imposed by MANUFACTURER. <br /> 5. Geogrid delivered to the project shall be protected by a relatively impermeable and opaque <br /> protective cover,with individual straps for unloading. <br /> B. Acceptance at Site <br /> 1. CQA Monitor shall perform inventory and surface inspection for defects and damage of all <br /> geogrid rolls upon delivery. <br /> 2. CONTRACTOR shall unroll and inspect any geogrid roll that may be damaged below <br /> surface. <br /> 3. CONTRACTOR shall repair damage resulting from handling and transport of geogrid at <br /> no additional cost to CC&V. If irreparable, in the opinion of CERTIFYING <br /> ENGINEER,damaged materials shall be replaced at no additional cost to CC&V. <br /> Section 02776 1 Page 2 of 6 May 9,2012 <br /> Geogrid Revision 1 <br />
