Piping shall be placed to the lines and elevations shown on the DRAWINGS,with no sags or humps, <br /> as approved by MANAGER and CERTIFYING ENGINEER. <br /> 3.02 PIPE CONNECTIONS <br /> A. All connections for non-perforated pipe shall be watertight under maximum anticipated pressure <br /> head. <br /> B. The ends of all pipe shall be capped with a manufactured pipe cap. <br /> C. HDPE pipe will be butt-heat-fusion welded in accordance with the MANUFACTURER's guidelines. <br /> D. CPe pipe joints shall conform to MANUFACTURER's recommendations. <br /> 3.03 BEDDING AND BACKFILL <br /> A. CONTRACTOR shall bed and backfill Pump Riser piping with Drain Cover Fill. <br /> B. Placement of Pump Riser pipes shall be coordinated with other operations such as Structural Fill, <br /> Select Structural Fill,and Drain Cover fill placement. Equipment access directly on geosynthetics is <br /> expressly prohibited. Any damage to the geosynthetics caused by CONTRACTOR during pipe <br /> placement shall be repaired at the expense of CONTRACTOR. <br /> C. A minimum of 4 feet of Drain Cover Fill shall be placed over the top of the pipe before crossing with <br /> rubber-tired construction equipment. If pipe becomes crushed during or after installation by <br /> CONTRACTOR's equipment or methods of construction, the pipe shall be replaced by <br /> CONTRACTOR, at no additional cost to CC&V. The CONTRACTOR will be required to <br /> demonstrate to MANAGER that the equipment and procedures used are not detrimental to the <br /> piping,at no additional cost to CC&V. <br /> D. CONTRACTOR shall hold pipes in place with sand bags, or other methods approved by <br /> MANAGER, until the Drain Cover Fill has been placed.
