The pipe was short tripped through the "Rubber Bed" formation (L5 B/C zone) from shoe
to TD five times until the hole felt clean. The "Rubber Bed" is a rich oil shale layer that
occurs in the L -5 B/C Beds which creeps in on the drill string; reamer shells and occasional
short trips to ream through rubber bed are recommended. Capstar tripped out of the
hole. Five hours were spent waiting on orders, anticipating the installation of the 5.5 -inch
liner. The Weatherford Casing crew ran a total of 12 joints of 5.5 -inch 24.8 lb/ft. STL flush
joint casing in the hole (total length of 500.78 feet). The bottom joint was slotted,
rounded and sealed on the end. A Baker SLP R type liner hanger was installed on the 5.5-
inch liner and the liner was tripped to bottom, washing and pushing down the last four
joints. Five and one -half hours were spent waiting for a Halliburton pump truck to arrive
on location because Baker personnel had neglected to mention to the Company
Representative that 4,000 psi was necessary to release the liner hanger.
The Halliburton pump truck arrived on location at 03:30 hours on July 22, 2013 and rigged
up. Thirty barrels of water was pumped down the pipe and the release ball was dropped.
Pressure was brought up to 1,500 psi and 15,000 pounds of weight was set to put the
hanger in place at 1,541 feet inside the 7.625 -inch casing. The shoe was landed at 2,047
feet MD KB. The pressure was raised to 3,900 psi in order to release the hanger setting
tool. Subsequently, Capstar pumped 230 barrels of water downhole to ensure the slots in
the shoe joint were open. Halliburton was released from the site and the hanger tool was
tripped out. The pipe was laid down in preparation for the upcoming rig move.
Capstar Rig #314 was released from the NSI 10H -1V well location at 06:00 hours on
July 23, 2013, and moved to the NSI '13' well pair pad.
Conclusion
The Natural Soda, Inc. 10H -1V well was spudded on July 4, 2013 and was completed on
July 23, 3013 at 06:00 hours.
