Halliburton rigged up and ran in the hole for the second cement bond log, tagging bottom
at 1,919 feet MD KB. The bond log was completed by 09:00 hours on July 20, 2013, and
indicated a good cement bond over the A Groove and B Groove Aquifers. The cementing
procedure isolated the formations and prevented migration of gas, water and other
materials between stratigraphic member zones.
Drillout to TD and Well Completion
On July 20, 2013 at 09:30 hours, Capstar tripped in the hole with a slick (non - directional)
BHA with a 6.75 -inch tri -cone bit to drill out to TD. The top of cement was tagged at 1,932
feet MD KB, and circulation was established. The cement and shoe at 1,957 feet MD KB
were drilled out. Returns were lost at 1,960 feet MD KB, in the bottom of the L5
stratigraphic zone of the Parachute Creek Member, and returns were never recovered
while drilling to TD. Capstar drilled to a depth of 1,990 feet MD KB without returns,
emptying the pits and upright tanks. The bit was pulled back into casing while water was
hauled in to re -fill the pits and upright tanks, causing a 2.5 hour delay.
While drilling the section from 1,960 feet to 1,990 feet MD KB, Daub personnel monitored
the fluid level in the adjacent 1OH -1 well (described above). It was noted that the fluid
level rose 8.8 feet in one hour while drilling to 1,990 feet, responding within 10 minutes of
pumping in the 10H -1V well. Drilling resumed with fresh water and no returns, drilling
from 1,990 feet to TD at a depth of 2,049 feet MD KB. Well TD occurred at 17:30 hours on
July 20, 2013. The top of the Boies Bed target formation was penetrated at a depth of
2,015 feet MD KB. The top of the Oil Shale Marker Bed (OSMB) was penetrated at 2,048
feet MD KB as indicated by drill rate. The weight on bit (WOB) remained in the 5,000 to
7,000 pound range while drilling to TD and at no time did the weight drop away entirely as
it would if dropping into a void. The total rise in fluid level in the 1OH -1 well was 16.9 feet
while drilling in the 10H -1V well.
Daub & Associates, Inc. Page 11 of 13 10H -1V Well Summary Report
