following sequence: 10 barrels of 10% CaCI water, 10 barrels of fresh water, a 10 barrel
SuperFlush spacer, 5 barrels of fresh water, followed with 9 barrels of 13.5 ppg PlugCem.
This was displaced with 25 barrels of fresh water. Cement Plug No. 4 was set at 05:40
hours.
Capstar ran in the hole open ended and broke circulation, then tripped out and picked up
the directional tools to drill out. The top of cement plug No. 4 was tagged at 1,912 feet
MD KB at 20:10 hours on July 11, 2013. Mud volume was built up and drilling ahead began
at 1,955 feet MD KB at 22:10 hours. Circulation was lost again at 1,986 feet MD KB and
drilling was stopped. The last foot drilled had a penetration rate of 120 fph, indicating
either Nahcolite or a void at the top of the 1-5 -E member. The last sample, taken at a
depth of 1,970 feet MD KB, displayed white nahcolite crystals in the L5 Zone matrix. The
previous ROP (rate of penetration) varied between 30 fph and 60 fph while drilling through
formation. The mud volume was re -built and an LCM pill was pumped downhole with no
returns. The BHA was pulled out of the hole and Halliburton was contacted to set Cement
Plug No. 5.
Halliburton mixed and pumped Cement Plug No. 5 at a depth of 1,954 feet, finishing at
10:35 hours on July12, 2013. This plug consisted of: 10 bbls of 10% CaCI water, 10 bbls of
fresh water, 10 barrels of SuperFlush 101, 10 bbls of fresh water and a 40 sack batch of
13.5 ppg PlugCem. This was displaced with 25 barrels of fresh water. Capstar tripped back
to bottom open ended, tagged the top of cement at 1,952 feet and established circulation.
The pipe was pulled out and a tri -cone bit without directional tools was run back to
bottom to drill out.
A foot of cement was drilled out at 1,952 feet MD KB; then the bit was washed on down to
1,977 feet MD KB with little resistance and circulation was lost again. The Daub water
level monitor, set up on the 1OH -1 well, exhibited a 1.5 foot rise in the water level of the
Boies Bed. The rise in water level indicated a fluid connection between the L5 -E and the
Boies Bed. After pumping ceased, the water level dropped steadily back to the static level
Daub & Associates, Inc. Page 7 of 13 1OH -1V Well Summary Report
