4. Water Consumption for the Operation <br />Water consumption by the mining operation will be limited to the dust suppression on disturbed <br />areas such as haul road, water removed as part of the mined material, sediment pond evaporation, <br />and water used in processing. <br />Dust suppression on roads = 2.76 ac -ft <br />Water removed in sand and gravel = 5.30 <br />Dust suppression in processing= 2.11 ac -ft <br />Sediment pond evaporation = 4.50 ac -ft <br />Total = 14.67 ac -ft annually <br />During mining the operation will consume approximately 14.67 ac -ft annually. Upon <br />reclamation, the lake evaporative consumption of the Tomichi Pit is anticipated to be <br />approximately 13 1.0 ac -ft. Gunnison Valley Properties, LLC has over 175 acre -feet of water <br />associated with the water rights on the property. <br />Gunnison Valley Properties, LLC has applied for the augmentation of the water rights on the <br />property to offset consumptive uses by the operation both during mining and once the pit is <br />established.
