WILDLIFE INFORMATION EXHIBIT H
1. Significant Game Resources on the Affected Lands
According to the Colorado Division of Wildlife, the following game species have overall range
that runs through the affected lands:
1. American Elk
2. Mountain Lion
3. Mule Deer
The property has been fenced for some time in order to contain cattle, it will continue to be
fenced throughout mining operations.
2. Significant Non -Game Resources on the Affected Lands
Fox, coyote, and other small mammals are the most critical non -game resources in the area.
However, the best habitat will be farther north, along the Gunnison River. There are no known
raptor nests on the permit area or in the vicinity.
3. Seasonal Use of Affected Lands
No important seasonal use.
4. Presence and Estimated Population of Threatened or Endangered species in the area.
Gunnison sage grouse have been observed on the site, and the operation is not within 0.6 miles
of any leks. While the site is within the sage - grouse habitat and range, the site is not used by
broods on the ground and is expected to have minimal impact. See the attached letter at the end
of this Exhibit by the Gunnison County Wildlife Conservation Coordinator for more information.
Tomichi Pit, December 2013 H -1
