Annual recharge to the <br />aquifer will occur as long as headwaters produce adequate flow to recharge volumes <br />extracted during periods of low flow and minor recharge. <br />6) These wells were constructed as permanent monitoring wells and a routine measurement of <br />water levels in the wells (monthly) should be undertaken to establish baseline data of water <br />level fluctuations and influence offlows in Tomichi Creek. <br />During dewatering of both the western end of the east excavation area and the entire west <br />excavation area, separate pumps will be used to provide water to the central wetlands via an <br />irrigation pipe. <br />Seven wells are located within 300 feet of the permit boundary, but only three of these wells are <br />within 300 feet of the dewatering of the pit. These wells can all be seen on Map C -2.
