Water and/or magnesium chloride will be used to control dust on the haul roads and water will
be used on the crushing and operations. Water will come from either the pit dewatering or
contract water trucks. Water consumption calculations are shown in Exhibit G.
Maintenance vehicles will visit the site regularly to provide oil, grease, and perform other minor
maintenance on vehicles and equipment. Any major repair work required will be performed off
site or during normal operating hours. A truck scale is installed within the permit boundary,
along with a small office trailer will be placed next to the scale. See Map C -2 for the location of
the truck scale and office.
The following list is the best estimate as to the mobile equipment which will be used onsite
throughout the mine life:
- Dozer: D7 or D8 size
- 2 -3 Front End Loaders 980 size or smaller
- 4 to 10 haul trucks, 14 to 24 ton capacity
- Part Time Water Truck (As needed, mostly during the summer)
Support equipment may need to come on site on an as- needed basis. Watering of the pit travel
area and the mine access road will be accomplished using the water truck, which will have a
minimum of a 3,000 gallon tank. The sediment pond can be used to fill the water truck as
needed.
There will be no blasting as part of this operation.
The operator will clearly mark the permit boundary.
The access road will connect the operation to US Highway 50.
4.
