As required by Rule 6.2.1(2), all maps must be signed by a registered land surveyor, <br />professional engineer, or other qualified person. In addition, all maps must give the date <br />prepared. Please revise the maps to include a date and signature. <br />Response: <br />All maps have been reviewed, edited as appropriate and signed by professional <br />engineers. The complete set is not provided in this letter response, but will be included <br />in the final Permit Amendment document. Some maps /figures are however included in <br />this letter as Attachments, in response to certain questions. <br />29. Figure 6 -2 does not appear to be printed at the listed scale (1. "- 100). Please print the <br />map at the appropriate scale or revise the scale. <br />Response: <br />Scale has been corrected on Figure 6 -2. <br />30. The Reclamation Plan Map (Figure 6 -3) depicts the various stockpiles, roads and the <br />mill building. The Reclamation Plan Map must match the Reclamation Plan and depict <br />the site following reclamation; any of the above features which will not be present after <br />reclamation must be removed from the map. Please revise the Reclamation Plan Map <br />accordingly. <br />Response: <br />The Reclamation Plan Map has been updated and the referenced features have been <br />removed. <br />31. As required by Rule 6.3.5(3), the Reclamation Plan Map must state the average <br />thickness of replaced topsoil. Please revise the Reclamation Plan Map accordingly. <br />Response: <br />Figure 6 -3 has been revised to include the statement: "Topsoil thickness on reclaimed <br />area will average 4 inches ". See Attachment 4. <br />32. The Reclamation Plan Map shows the final gradient of all reclaimed slopes. Please <br />confirm that the site will be graded to the proposed gradient. <br />Response: <br />UMC commits to reclaiming all constructed slopes to no more than 3:1 without prior <br />approval by CDRMS. Text in Exhibit D, Reclamation Plan is updated to reflect the <br />reclamation plan and to be consistent with Figures 6 -3 and 6 -4. (Attachments 4 & 5). <br />
