• Secondary Decline Dimension (L *W *H)
• Rock Density (Sandstone @ 145 lbs. /ft)
• 2000 Ibs /ton
Liberty Mining, LLC
DRMS 110 -d Permit Application
October 2013
[(10' * 12'- 500) * 145 lbs. /ft3] / 2000 Ibs. = 4,350 tons
The current estimated surface area required for mined overburden to reach the ore body:
85'W x 145'L x 20'H = 12,325 ft2143,560 ft2/ acre = 0.28 acres.
Upon reaching the ore body, the amount of waste rock stockpiled will be reduced as a relatively
large portion of waste rock and overburden material will be gobbed in the underground workings
and placed in non - producing portion of the mine.
Pursuant to the requirements of DRMS Rule 6 relative to the 110 -d permit, the mine operations
will extract less than 70,000 tons per calendar year while maintaining affected acreage less than
10 acres for the life of the mine. Anticipated mining operations indicate production rates of ore
and minerals at the Liberty Mine to be 45 to 65 tons per day. On average, waste rock and
overburden extraction rates will not exceed 225 tons per day. The maximum extraction rate for
the combination of both marketable ore and waste rock is estimated to be 275 tons per day.
Based on a 5 day work week and 50 weeks per year, the anticipated annual material extracted
is 68,750 tons. Variations in working times, weather conditions, extraction rates and seasonal
mining activity will determine the daily extractable rates within overall annual limits.
C (9.d) Ore Body Thickness
Based on recent geologic exploration borings, the ore body thickness is anticipated to range
from 10 to 40 feet in thickness. The configuration of the ore body will have natural variations
and inconsistencies in thickness and connectivity.
C (9.e) Major Components of Mining Operations
Mine operation support structures and equipment used in the Liberty Mine surface operations
will be portable. There will be no permanent man -made structures; any concrete pads will be
demolished and disposed of either in the underground mine or off site during reclamation.
These types of structures and equipment are common in the support of small mining operations.
Building foundations are not required for the support structures necessary for the proposed
mining operations. Structures and equipment may include but are not limited to the items listed
below in Table C (1.e) "Surface Structures and Equipment ".
Table C (9.e) — Surface Structures and Equipment
Description
Description
Units
Watertight containers 20' x 8' x. 8'
Shop /storage & office
i
2
Mine operations non - potable water tank
3,000 gallon
1
Air compressor
400 -950 CFM
1
Diesel powered generator
2
Liberty Vning, LLC Mcab, Utah SMA Ref. 5821897 Page 18
