seeding using Forest Service- approved, weed -free alpine seed mix at a spread rate of
at least 16.5lbs /acre. An outline of the areas that were re- seeded is included on Figures
15, 16, 17, and 18(attached).
On October 15, 2013, all areas showing signs of noxious weeds (north and west of the
main gate, along the 9400 portal roadway, the newly bermed topsoil area of the 9400
portal pad), and the NW corner of TP -2 area were sprayed using Milestone weed spray
in order to control Canada thistle growth.
As a requirement of permit number M- 1977 -215, RGS has attached the water levels of
the three monitoring wells around the Bulldog site (BD -MW, HW -3, and HW -4) (Refer to
Figure 19 thru 22 attached). The sharp decline in water levels reflects and is directly
correlated to the pumping down of the water in the 9360 level that was done between
July 28, 2013 and October 23, 2013. During this time we installed a flow meter and
monitored total gallons pumped out of the mine. The total amount pumped is 3,142,047
gallons. All of this water was placed in TP -1 and TP -2. As of October 24th, 2013
pumping activities have ceased until further notice. It is anticipated that the water in the
9360 level will return to historic levels.
We have also attached a general location map (Refer to Figure 14 attached). Also
included is an updated Bulldog Facilities map (Figure 13) for reference.
Lastly, with respect to the Waste Rock Materials Characterizations, samples have been
collected and are being analyzed. Data pertaining to the characterizations are
forthcoming and will be forwarded upon receipt to your office for your use and records.
Please call me at # 970 - 317 -5355 or 719 - 658 -1080 if you have any questions.
Best Regards,
44 A,("-
Randy McClure
General Manager
Rio Grande Silver, Inc.
625 USFS Road 504.1A
Creede, CO 81130
(719) 658 -1080
rmcclure @hecla - mining.com
112 East 12t" Street P.O Box 610 Creede, CO 81130
719 -658 -1080 Fax 719 -658 -1082
