TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS <br />2. CONTRACTOR shall ensure that each geomembrane MANUFACTURER that supplies <br />materials to this project has an internal product quality control program that meets <br />SPECIFICATIONS. <br />3. During manufacturing of the geomembrane, samples of geomembrane shall be removed for <br />laboratory testing to ensure compliance with this SPECIFICATION. Conformance sampling and <br />testing will be performed in accordance with the Construction Quality Assurance Plan. <br />4. CONTRACTOR shall assure that the geomembrane is delivered to the site at least 10 calendar <br />days prior to installation. CONTRACTOR will provide required Quality Control information 10 <br />calendar days prior to geosynthetics being delivered to PSES Pipe Rack Liner Extension Project <br />and on delivery of geosynthetics to the project. <br />5. Geomembrane rolls that do not meet the requirements of this SPECIFICATION will be rejected. <br />CONTRACTOR shall replace the rejected material with new material that conforms to the <br />SPECIFICATION requirements, at no additional cost to CC &V. <br />6. CONTRACTOR shall ensure that all personnel performing geomembrane- seaming operations are <br />performed by qualified technicians and that all seams pass seaming tests (see Part 3 (Execution) of <br />this SPECIFICATION). MANAGER reserves the right to reject any welding technician whose <br />performance is unsatisfactory. <br />7. INSTALLER'S superintendent and QC inspector shall attend the pre- construction meeting. <br />D. Field Samples <br />1. Geomembrane sampling and testing shall be conducted in accordance with the project <br />SPECIFICATIONS for the following: <br />a. Trial seam testing (Section 3.7 (D) of this SPECIFICATION) <br />b. Destructive seam testing (Section 3.9 of this SPECIFICATION) <br />2. CONTRACTOR shall maintain on -site a minimum of one spare operable tensiometer and <br />provide documentation indicating that all tensiometers used at the project were calibrated within <br />60 days prior to the tensiometer arriving on -site for testing field samples. <br />E. In order to prevent wind- damaged geomembranes from being placed, the following quality assurance <br />procedures shall be followed: <br />1. CONTRACTOR shall perform its Work and utilize sufficient ballast as necessary to prevent <br />wind uplift of the geomembrane panels. <br />2. If wind damage should occur, CERTIFYING ENGINEER shall determine if the geomembrane <br />shall be repaired or replaced. Wind damage to the geomembrane will include wrinkles, creases, <br />and tears, as determined by CERTIFYING ENGINEER. <br />3. Repair or replacement of the wind - damaged geomembrane shall be completed by <br />CONTRACTOR at no additional cost to CC &V. <br />4. As determined by MANAGER and CERTIFYING ENGINEER, the geomembrane panel may <br />be rejected at no cost to CC &V. <br />1.4 DELIVERY, STORAGE, AND HANDLING <br />A. Packing and Shipping <br />I. Labels on each roll delivered to site shall identify the following. <br />a.
