Task 4: CDSS Model Review
Objective:
The objective of Task 4 is to facilitate an understanding/acceptance of the State's current water
allocation modeling of Colorado River tributaries by interested parties, specifically the BRTs and
to provide the Consultant team an opportunity to peer review the existing modeling efforts.
Background:
Colorado River tributaries in the State of Colorado that are of interest far the Study include four
major subbasins, each corresponding to a separate BRT as follows: 1) Colorado River Mainstem
Subbasin; 2) Gunnison River Subbasin; 3) Dolores/San Juan/san Miguel Rivers Subbasin; and 4)
the Yampa/WhitelGreen Rivers Subbasin. One hundred percent of the current levels of
consumptive uses are represented in each subbasin. Listed below are primary tributaries to those
four major subbasins, which will be the areas of focus for CDSS model review, analysis, and
documentation. The Colorado Subbasin models will also be used to represent water transfers
between subbasins.
1.
