The briefs will be
written for audiences that are well-informed on water uses within their basins, but are not
modeling specialists.
The summaries (model briefs) will be provided in a standard format consistent with the
CWCB's basin fact sheets and will include information on:
• Current CDSS hydrology generated for the early 1900's, including periods of
critically dry hydrology, and the appropriateness of use of that hydrology in current
water availability studies for the Colorado River.
• Current consumptive and non-consumptive demands, including transmountain
diversion systems.
• Reservoir operational criteria.
• Current Ugper Colorado River and San Juan River Endangered Species Recovery
Programs and associated operational efforts.
• Recent water demand model enhancements (i.e. inclusion of high altitude crop
coefficients) and proposed enhancements for this Study.
Draft model briefs will be provided to the CWCB for review and comment. CWCB
comments will be incorporated and the model briefs will be finalized. The final model
briefs will be submitted to BRT members prior to the BRT Workshops.
4.2 BRT Worksho s -Prepare for and attend a workshop for each of the Colorado Subbasins
(four total). These workshops will be combined with BRT meetings if possible and will
set the stage for additional workshops to be conducted in Task S.
