Background:
A CRWAS Glossary of Terms will be prepared using definitions of terms presented in SWSI
documents (e.g., natural flow, legally available flow, depletions, subbasin definition, etc.}, and
will extend the SWSI glossary to include terms specific to the CRWAS that involve paleo-
hydrology and climate change topics. Maps will also be generated of the Study area as deta;led
below.
Approach:
3.1 Glossary -Obtain an electronic copy of the glossary used in the SWSI report, remove
terms from the SWSI glossary not applicable to the CRWAS Study, and supplement the
resulting glossary with additional terms and definitions applicable to the CRWAS Study.
It is assumed that the CRWAS glossary can be prepared by incorporating additional
terms identified in documents reviewed in Task 2. Submit the resulting glossary to
CWCB for review and comment. Based on comments from CWCB, prepare a final
Glossary of Terms. The cost estimate assumes that only one review cycle will be
required and that modifications will not be substantial. Post the CRWAS Glossary of
Terms on a web~based server in PDF format for access by BRT and others involved in the
Study.
3.2 Basin Maps -Generate six electronic maps; one each for the four Study Subbasins within
Colorado; one for the combined four Study Subbasins in Colorado; and one covering the
entire Colorado River Basin delineating areas in and outside Colorado. The five maps
delineating area within Colorado will be provided in electronic GIS format by the CWCB
from previous studies and are expected to include Subbasin delineations, Subbasin
mainstems and major tributaries, and major storage projects with each Subbasin. It is
expected that maps provided by the CWCB will require Borne GIS modification to more
fully portray features pertinent to the Study and to support presentations and discussions.
Submit the maps to CWCB for review and comment. Based on comments from CWCB,
prepare final maps. The cost estimate assumes that only one review cycle will be
required and that modifications will not be substantial. Post the Study maps on a web
based server in PDF format far access by BRT and others involved in the Study.
Deliverables:
3.1 Glossary of Terms in MS Word format and placed on a web-based server in PDF format.
3.2 Six maps placed on a web based server in PDF format with shape files also provided for
CWCB use.
Colorado River Water Availability Study Scope S 8/28/2008
CRWAS Pbasel Contract Scope EX A Final
