Lagged accretions
should be accounted in recharge accretions structures based on source of seepage water -
recharge site seepage (ID 0103339_P1R) or canal seepage (ID 0103339 P1C), as summarized in
Table 2. Canal seepage should be accounted based on simulated ditch losses from all diversions
to recharge when no other supplies (e.g., irrigation) are being run in the ditch.
One recharge water right is used to divert water from the South Platte River into the canal, Bijou
Creek, and Kiowa Creek. The capacity of the canal and creek where recharge water is discharged
is unknown. Bijou ReservoirNo. 2 is decreed for 9,183 ac-ft storage capacity. The demand for
the primary direct flow recharge water right should be modeled at two recharge sites located at
the end of the Bijou Canal, as summarized below. The additional junior recharge right decreed to
Goedert Reservoir under the Bijou Canal is also included in Table 3.
Table 3
Bijou Augmentation Plan Recharge Water Rights
Di
h Recharge Site at end of Capacity / Supply
tc Ditch Target Amount Admin.
