The trees are watered for 2 hours every othe day. This
schedule applies approximately 3000 gallons every month, requ' ring only
2 man hours each season for start up and olosure.
The benefits to the park are substantial. Water use ha declined
by 3000 gallons monthly,36000 gallons for watering season Man hours
are down from 24 hours to 2 hours per season. The trees seem in better
health as a result of regular, controlled amounts of wete .
Installation was easy, and system has operated trouble fr e to this
point. On a long term I feel the batteries will need replaced every 2-3
years. The system i5 low maintenance and cost effecti e way to
irrigate trees in remote areas.
