<br />'fl OA <br />q3D'-I~ <br /> <br />STATE OF COLORADO <br /> <br />WATER CONSERVATION GRANT <br />AGREEMENT <br /> <br />THIS CONTRACT made this 1st day of Julv, 1992, by and between the <br />Division of Parks and Outdoor Recreation (the "Contractor") and <br />the Colorado Department of Natural Resources, Colorado Water <br />Conservation Board, 1313 Sherman St., Room 721, Denver, Colorado, <br />80203 (the "Client"); <br /> <br />WHEREAS, authority exists in the law and funds have been <br />budgeted, appropriated and otherwise made available and a <br />sufficient unencumbered balance theory remains available for <br />payment in Agency PDA, Fund Number 462; Organization Code 92YY; <br />Appropriation Code 100; Program Code WTRC; Object Code 5110; Sub <br />Object Code 09; and Contract Encumbrance Number c.. l5341~. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Colorado Department of Natural Resources, Colorado <br />Water Conservation Board wishes to contract with the Division of <br />Parks and Outdoor Recreation for the following services involving <br />grant assistance for the purpose of a pilot program demonstrating <br />the benefits of water efficiency measures: <br /> <br />. install two solar operated timers, valves and controls <br />into current manual sprinkler system to conserve water, <br />to conserve manpower and improve tree health; <br />. monitor water usage and system operation which include <br />timers, valves and controls installed; <br />. provide publicity and promotion through press releases, <br />paper, radio and TV involvement through Antoinette <br />DeLauro, public relations officer, for the Division of <br />Parks and Outdoor Recreation; <br />. produce a final report that records watering periods, <br />any trouble with effects of automatic watering on <br />overall tree health, evaluate feasibility of expanding <br />solar system, include water saved and the effect of <br />regulated water on overall tree health. <br />. provide technical assistance and staff support to <br />produce the above products. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE it is hereby agreed that: <br /> <br />1. Scope of Work. The Division of Parks and Outdoor Recreation <br />shall through its Senior Maintenance Mechanic, Mike Giltner, <br />perform and accomplish in a satisfactory and proper manner <br />all the necessary work and services described above; <br />
