WATER CONSERVATION GRANT
AGREEMENT

THIS CONTRACT made this 1st day of Julv, 1992, by and between the
Division of Parks and Outdoor Recreation (the "Contractor") and
the Colorado Department of Natural Resources, Colorado Water
Conservation Board, 1313 Sherman St., Room 721, Denver, Colorado,
80203 (the "Client");

WHEREAS, authority exists in the law and funds have been
budgeted, appropriated and otherwise made available and a
sufficient unencumbered balance theory remains available for
payment in Agency PDA, Fund Number 462; Organization Code 92YY;
Appropriation Code 100; Program Code WTRC; Object Code 5110; Sub
Object Code 09; and Contract Encumbrance Number c.. l5341~.

WHEREAS, the Colorado Department of Natural Resources, Colorado
Water Conservation Board wishes to contract with the Division of
Parks and Outdoor Recreation for the following services involving
grant assistance for the purpose of a pilot program demonstrating
the benefits of water efficiency measures:

. install two solar operated timers, valves and controls
into current manual sprinkler system to conserve water,
to conserve manpower and improve tree health;
. monitor water usage and system operation which include
timers, valves and controls installed;
. provide publicity and promotion through press releases,
paper, radio and TV involvement through Antoinette
DeLauro, public relations officer, for the Division of
Parks and Outdoor Recreation;
. produce a final report that records watering periods,
any trouble with effects of automatic watering on
overall tree health, evaluate feasibility of expanding
solar system, include water saved and the effect of
regulated water on overall tree health.
. provide technical assistance and staff support to
produce the above products.

NOW THEREFORE it is hereby agreed that:

1. Scope of Work. The Division of Parks and Outdoor Recreation
shall through its Senior Maintenance Mechanic, Mike Giltner,
perform and accomplish in a satisfactory and proper manner
all the necessary work and services described above;
