<br />- 24 - <br /> <br />The going program of State and private fire control is estimated <br />at $600 for equipment and $300 for technical assistance during the <br />installation period. In addition, the going program includes $100 <br />in technical assistance for fencing woodlands from overgrazing. <br /> <br />Funds for acceleration of planning and application of land <br />treatment measures on National Forest lands. will be furnished by U. S. <br />Forest Service ($21,700) and the P. L. 566 funds ($19,000). <br />The program for National Forest lands is estimated at $9,400 for the <br />installation period. Funds for the .planning and application of land <br />treatment measures on the Indian lands by the Indian Tribal and <br />Bureau of Indian Affairs funds is estimated at $31,833. <br /> <br />The La Plata County Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation <br />Committee has informed the Colorado State Agricultural Stabilization <br />and Conservation Committee that it is presently adequately cost- <br />sharing in the Pine River Watershed and expects to continue to do so. <br />The Archuleta Oounty Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation <br />Committee is expected to confirm in the same manner verbal commitments <br />already made. Structures to be installed on the lateral systems are <br />similar to those being installed by individual farmers as land treat- <br />ment measures. Lateral system members will furnish construction funds <br />that will be cost-shared by the Agricultural Conservation Program and <br />other Federal funds available for this purpose. The unit cost used <br />for these measures are based on current Agricultural Conservation <br />Program costs for this area. <br /> <br />Structural Measures <br /> <br />Total project installation cost for the structural measures is <br />$302,962 (Table 1). This cost includes construction, installation <br />services, land easements and rights-of-way, and administration of <br />contracts. <br /> <br />Construction costs are estimated at $233,913. They are based <br />on unit costs for similar work in this part of Colorado. A con- <br />tingency figure of 12 ~ercent is added to the engineering estimate <br />to arrive at the construction cost. Sharing of costs allocated to <br />agricultural water management purposes is shown in Tables 1 and 2A. <br /> <br />Installation services are estimated at $65,394. This includes <br />cost of engineering services and other associated services connected <br />with the installation of the project. These services include: <br />
