<br />., <br /> <br />- 25 - <br /> <br />(I) engineering and geologic surveys, (2) soil mechanics laboratory <br />analysis for structural design, (3) preparation of construction <br />plans and specifications, (4) cartographic service, and (5) super- <br />visory and administrative services. The cost of these services will <br />be borne by Public Law 566 funds. <br /> <br />"Other Costs" are estimated at $3,655. . These are borne <br />entirely by the sponsors and include the cost of: (1) land easements <br />and rights-of-way ($1,315), and (2) administration of contracts <br />. ($2,340). No cost estimates are required for water storage filings <br />and for water rights. Land easements and rights-of-way costs include <br />the estimated expenditures by the sponsors for the necessary legal <br />interests in the 25 acres of land required for the proposed struc- <br />ture sites. Land easements and rights-of-way for the rehabilitation <br />of the present canal system are owned by the Pine River Canal Company <br />and the Spring Creek Ditch Company. The sponsors will furnish the <br />.land for the various sections. where realignment of the canal may <br />become necessary due to replacement or new structures. <br /> <br />Administration of contracts costs include the estimated <br />expenditures for administrative, legal, and clerical services in- <br />curred by the Contracting Local Organization in carrying out the bid <br />letting and completion of construction contracts. 'This will include <br />the cost of a Local Contracting Officer to work with the Contractor <br />and the Soil Conservation Service. <br /> <br />Construction costs for the two floodwater-retarding structures <br />with appurtenances will be borne by P. L. 566 funds ($86,591) and by <br />"Other" funds ($10,790). These costs allocated to the irrigation <br />appurtenances are the incremental costs of adding the berms, transi- <br />tions and concrete channels to the floodwater-retarding structures, <br />Construction costs for the rehabilitation of the remainder of the <br />irrigation distribution system will be shared by P. L. 566 funds <br />($68,262) and by "Other" funds ($68,270). <br /> <br />Fiscal Year Obligations <br /> <br />The estimated Public Law 566 obligations and other obligations <br />for each fiscal year of the 5-year installation period are as <br />follows: <br />
