A total of five <br />holes were drilled at the Fontenelle damsite which disclosed bedrock to be <br />a maxiuIum of 19 feet below ground level and of suitable quality for dam <br />construction. <br /> <br />Savery-Pot Hook Pro,iect, Colorado-Wyoming <br /> <br />The prelilninary draft of the feasibility report was completed <br />in July and circulated to interested local, State and Federal agencies <br />for informal review. Comments have been received from the State of Vlyoming <br />requesting that the Savery Dam and Dolan Hesa canal feature s be separated <br />from the remaining project for construction by the State of Wyoming. <br />Further progress on the report has been deferred to await the State of <br />Colorado's comments and further clarification of plans for the develop- <br />ment of the area. <br /> <br />Yampa-White Project. Colorado-Wyoming-Utah <br /> <br />Land classification field surveys have been completed in the <br />Hayden Bench, Josephine Basin, Yellow Jacket, Williams River and Wessels <br />areas. Preliminary appraisals have been completed for the Wessels, <br />Josephine Basin and Yellow Jacket areas. Surveys and studies on the <br />HaJ!den Bench, Jixial Basin and Deadmans Bench areas have been started. <br /> <br />Cliffs-Divide Pro,i ect, Colorado <br /> <br />Substantiating rep:>rts for the various units have been corr,- <br />pleted. No further \<orlc is programmed for t his fiscal year. <br /> <br />DeBeque Project, Colorado-Utah <br /> <br />Surveys and studies for the reconnaissance report were continued. <br />A cost esti=te for relocating the D&RG railroad around DeBeque Reservoir <br />was prepared by the railroad company. <br /> <br />Cedaredge Division. Gunnison River Project. Colorado <br /> <br />Surveys and studies for the reconnaissance rep:>rt were continued. <br /> <br />:V' <br />i\ <br />"Y <br /> <br />Orchard Mesa Division. Grand Valley Project. Colorado <br /> <br />Surveys and studies for rehabilitation and betterment program to be recom- <br />mended to Congress in F . Y. 1956 are nearing completion. Preparation of a <br />special report has been started. <br /> <br />Collbran Project, Colorado <br /> <br />In vi~. of the Grand Junction City Council's decision to withdraw <br />from the project, investigations are being undertaken on a modified plan in <br />which municipal water features would be eliminated. It is planned to sub- <br />mit a revised definite plan report by October 1955 at which time a decision <br />can be made as to whether reauthorization of the project will be needed. <br /> <br />3 <br />
