The report was completed without an accompanying
report by the Fish and \hldlife Service, Because of the repayment
assistance needed for the Glendale Division, and which cannot be pro-
vided under present reclamation law, construction of the Glendale
Division is not recommended.

Bear River Project, Utah-Idaho

Detailed land classification field work was carried on in the
NaIad Valley and Both"ell Pocket areas. lni'iltrometers were inst"lled
in the Blue Creek and Hansel Valley areas in preparation for land classi-
fication WJrk next spring. Office work has been primarily concentrated
on project plan fomulation and water supply studies. Tentative results
indicate that all areas extending to and including Curlew Valley are
attractive increments to the project plan, but that the area selected
will be limited by available water supplies.

Cent ral Utah Pro,; ect. Utah

Detailed field surveys and general planning studies and esti-
mates h"ve been continued. Land classification field work was completed
in the Nephi and Elberta areas and was started in the Vernal area.
Modifications in the project plan are being studied to determine result-
ing effect on the economy. Completion of an interim report on the Utah
Lake portion of the project was deferred because of problems which arose
on the use of return flo\oJs and wastes in the Provo Bay area.

Gooseberry Project, ~tah

Ground water observations and streamflow measurements on the
San Pitch River were carried on for use in subsequent definite plan studies.

Henrys Fork Pro,;ect, Uyoming-Utah

A reconnaissance report was completed in July and circulated to
local and state officials. Mainly because of the costly canal systems
involved the potential project is shown to be economically unjustified.
No further work on the project is contanplated.

Opal Project. Wyoming

Engineering and economic studies are essentially complete for
the reconnaissance report and drafting of the report is underway.

Sublett e Pro,; ect, l,yorning

Surveys and studies are complete for the status report and
preparation of the report is continuing.

2
