The reservoir and the <br />outlet canal are located downstream in Water District No. 64 and <br />for that reason all releases from the reservoir to the South <br />Platte River for irrigation are administered by the Water Com- <br />missioner for Water District No. 64. The reSUlt is joint adminis- <br />tration of this system. <br />Prewitt Reservoir has a capacity of 31,000 acre-feet, and is <br />owned jointly by the Logan Irrigation District (17/31), the <br />Iliff Irrigation District (8/31) and the Morgan-Prewitt Reservoir <br />Company (6/31). It is operated by the Prewitt Operating Committee <br />Alex Michel provided us with copies of a set of "water de- <br />livery rules" for Prewitt Reservoir. At the top of the page are <br />rules established by the Prewitt Operating Committee and at the <br />bottom are rules established by the Water Commissioner, Robert <br />Littler. Logan Irrigation Distriet <br />The Logan Irrigation District is a public irrigation district <br />organized under the 1905 Statute. It owns no diversion works of <br />its own, but instead delivers supplemental water to farmers in the <br />District. The District farmers irrigate under the South Platte <br />Ditch, the Pawnee Ditch, the Davis Brothers Ditch, the Schneider <br />Ditch, and the Springda1e Ditch. The Board of Directors consists <br />of Jake Eisnach (President) of Sterling, Robert Schott (Vice <br />President) of Atwood, and John lIs of Sterling.
