Asphalt & Construction <br />Co. <br /> <br />Resurfacing streets in Boulder <br />City. <br /> <br />Lembke Construction Co. <br /> <br />Blacksmith shop and extensions <br />to the ramps at the downstream <br />ends of the powerhouse. <br /> <br />Work in progress at the close of the year being performed by <br />Government forces consisted principally of: <br /> <br />(a) Electrical rearrangements in the Boulder City substation <br />to increase the capacity to the Bureau of Mines; <br /> <br />(b) Construction of a sandblasting room at end of Arizona ramp <br />at the powerhouse; and <br /> <br />(c) Normal inspection and supervision of contractor's activities. <br /> <br />The principal construction work completed by Government forces <br />during the year was as follows: <br /> <br />(a) Penstock alarm system; safety bulkhead gates at down- <br />stream ends of powerhouse ramps; and bulkhead doors <br />in adits of penstock tunnels.
