l'-
....
:>1

(b) Marie-Scott Reservoir No.2.

The Marie-Scott reservoir No. 2 is located on Sa1tado Creek

near the Marie-Scott Camp. The main dam is on Sa1tado Creek, and

a dike is proposed at the north end of the valley near the saddle

leading out on to Beaver Mesa. It is expected that the J & M

Hughes Ditch would be able to allow release of the water into the

reservoir as required. The maximum embankment height of

Maire-Scott will be about 190 feet and the additional storage

available to the system would be about 20,000 acre-feet.

(c) Beaver Park Ditch and Beaver Canyon on Siphon.

The Beaver Park Ditch is considered to be an integral part of

the Marie-Scott reservoir, as water is supplied to the project

area from the reservoir through this ditch. This ditch, including

the siphon is about 8.5 miles long and connects the Marie-Scott

No. 2 reservoir to the Gurley Ditch. The design capacity for the

ditch and the siphon is 75 cfs.

(d) Gurley Ditch minor improvements.

Existing state of Gurley ditch is quite good and only minor

improvements are proposed for its rehabilitation. The ditch has a

400 cfs capacity and is about 16.5 miles long.

-4-
