However, with river flows returning <br /> <br />to levels sufficient only to meet downstream delivery <br /> <br />requirements, it is imperative that the federal agencies <br />~ <br />~ vigorously pursue adequate funding to carry out the <br />CO <br />~ proposed salinity control activities as set forth in the <br /> <br />1987 Review and the 1987 Joint Evaluation Report. <br /> <br />The Council urges Reclamation and USDA to closely <br /> <br />coordinate with the Forum during the preparation of the <br /> <br />Forum's "1989 Annual Progress Report - Water Quality <br /> <br />Standards for Salinity - Colorado River System" to assure <br /> <br />consistency with future water use estimates and salinity <br /> <br />control implementation schedules. <br /> <br />Specific Comments <br /> <br />Current status of all the salinity control measures <br /> <br />are discussed in the 1988 Annual Progress Report and the <br /> <br />1988 Joint Evaluation Report. Therefore, the Council will <br /> <br />only offer comments and recommendations on specific <br /> <br />projects which are of concern to the Council. <br /> <br />Bureau of Reclamation <br /> <br />Paradox Valley Unit.
