Reclamation, using data from the USGS, evaluates

the data to provide the states, local entities, and the

Forum with time sensitive information on the River's water

quality. However, at Hoover Dam, water quality analyses

are not processed in a timely manner. Results of the

laboratory analyses are not reported to Reclamation for

periods of over a year. The USGS needs to improve its

procedures so that information on the Hoover Dam station

can be reported in a timely manner.

DeDartment of Agriculture

The Council urges the Department of Agriculture (USDA)

to diligently pursue adequate line item funding for

personnel, equipment, and cost sharing to assure that

program implementation schedules are met.
