<br />The envi ronmental studies address broad impacts along approximately 20-mi le <br />wide canal corridors for each route. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service <br />prepared planning aid reports for each of the water transfer alternatives. <br />Their studies identified potential impacts on fish and wildlife resources in <br />the areas of the transfer and storage facilities and the potential impacts to <br />the source streams and to some extent downstream of the source. The envi ron- <br />mental impacts identified by the Fish and Wildlife Service supplemented by <br />additional envi ronmental studies by the Corps District offices have been sum- <br />marized in the District Reports (Appendixes A through D). <br /> <br />24 <br />
