<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />0024~n <br /> <br />and other water agencies, including those of interstate <br />scope, the optimum economic sequence and chronology <br />of project development, and/or more intensive water <br />resources utilization to meet the demands for additional <br />dependable water supplies throughout the State. <br /> <br />(3)Provides fundamental information directed toward deter- <br />mining the optimum plan of physical and financial integration <br />of existing and future State and Federal projects and to pro- <br />vide necessary analyses in support of negotiations directed <br />toward this end. <br /> <br />(4) Assists in evaluating the effect of significant legislation, <br />court decrees, executive orders, and regional and inter- <br />state programs of other agencles on California's water <br />development program. <br /> <br />(5) Prepares a progress report on the California Water Plan, <br />including (1) review of the concepts of the California Water <br />Plan, (2) testing of those concepts against the present and <br />future technology of development, (3) description of the <br />progress during the past ten years (1956-1966) in the <br />implementation of the California Water Plan, and (4) an <br />outline of projected future needs for water and an indication <br />of the near future staging of projects necessary to meet <br />those needs. <br /> <br />The results from the detailed work program have been organized into bul, <br />letin series. For example, the Bulletin 94 series covers Present Land <br />and Water Use by Hydrographic Units. Eleven investigations are cur- <br />rently under way. The specific items of work covered in the Bulletin 94's <br />is shown on the network chart attached (Figure 3). <br /> <br />Similarly, the items of work of the Bulletin 142 series -- Water Resources <br />and Future Water Requirements -- are shown in the generalized network <br />flow diagram attached (F igure 4). It is drawn to portray in: t e rrela'tionships.. <br /> <br />How Does It All Get Done? <br /> <br />Because of the interrelated factors, and to facilitate reporting and con- <br />clusions, the activities of the Coordinated Statewide Planning Program <br />are categorized into three major subdivis ions: <br /> <br /> <br />(a) Basic Information Phase; <br />(b) Evaluation Phase; and <br />(c) Integrated Project Planning Phase. <br /> <br />12 <br /> <br />
