Drilling work at the dam site is considered <br />50 percent complete although only one hole has been finished. <br />A series of topography checks and control surveys were completed <br />for the purpose of reconciling elevations at the dam site given <br />by various surveys. <br /> <br />Middle River Division, Arizona-Colorado-Utah <br /> <br />Glen Canyon Unit. Studies were continued on the effect of <br />Glen Canyon reservoir storage on downstream developments and <br />studies were carried on to determine the effect of Upper Basin <br />regulation as proposed in the Colorado River Interim Report on <br />power production in the Lower Basin. <br /> <br />Yampa River Froject. Colorado-Utah-Wyoming <br /> <br />Little Snake Division, Colorado-Wyomin~. The topography for the <br />Dolan Mesa and canal diversion dam was completed. Work waS started on the <br />preliminary designs and estimates of the Pot Hook service canal by the <br />area office. The work of analyzing and t€sting construction materials <br />was carried to 80 percent completion by the Paonia laboratory. Prelimi- <br />nary spillway design flood studies for Savery and Slater Cr8ek dam sites <br />were continued. <br /> <br />Gunnison River Project, Colorado <br /> <br />The survey on the Cimarron ditch to Bostwich Park was completed. <br />Reconnaissance plans to serve land areas in the vicinity of Bostwich Park, <br />Ridgway, and Cedaredge were brought to 90 percent completion and prepara- <br />tion of the appendix was carried to 60 percent completion. Water supply <br />studies and preparation of the project report were continued. The land <br />classification report on the Gunnison River Basin was started.,' <br />/ <br /> <br />Crawford DiVision, Colorado <br /> <br />Smith Fork Unit. Revisions were made in the land classification <br />report to adapt it for use in the irrigation appendix. The descriptive <br />appendix ~as started and brought to 30 percent completion. <br /> <br />Cliffs-Divide Project, Color?do <br /> <br />Surveys were begun to investigate the possibility of servicing lands <br />on Cattle Creek with a reservoir on Lime Creek and a canal from Lime Creek <br />to Cattle Creek. Field surveys were continued on the possibility of sup- <br />plying water to West Divide Creek by diversion from Crystal River through <br />McClure Pass and East Muddy Creek. A reconnaissance trip was made over <br />the area to set up specifications and formulate plans for accomplishment <br />of land classification work. <br /> <br />1609 <br /> <br />2 <br />
