Austin Unit. Drilling work at the dam site is considered
50 percent complete although only one hole has been finished.
A series of topography checks and control surveys were completed
for the purpose of reconciling elevations at the dam site given
by various surveys.

Middle River Division, Arizona-Colorado-Utah

Glen Canyon Unit. Studies were continued on the effect of
Glen Canyon reservoir storage on downstream developments and
studies were carried on to determine the effect of Upper Basin
regulation as proposed in the Colorado River Interim Report on
power production in the Lower Basin.

Yampa River Froject. Colorado-Utah-Wyoming

Little Snake Division, Colorado-Wyomin~. The topography for the
Dolan Mesa and canal diversion dam was completed. Work waS started on the
preliminary designs and estimates of the Pot Hook service canal by the
area office. The work of analyzing and t€sting construction materials
was carried to 80 percent completion by the Paonia laboratory. Prelimi-
nary spillway design flood studies for Savery and Slater Cr8ek dam sites
were continued.

Gunnison River Project, Colorado

The survey on the Cimarron ditch to Bostwich Park was completed.
Reconnaissance plans to serve land areas in the vicinity of Bostwich Park,
Ridgway, and Cedaredge were brought to 90 percent completion and prepara-
tion of the appendix was carried to 60 percent completion. Water supply
studies and preparation of the project report were continued. The land
classification report on the Gunnison River Basin was started.,'

Crawford DiVision, Colorado

Smith Fork Unit. Revisions were made in the land classification
report to adapt it for use in the irrigation appendix. The descriptive
appendix ~as started and brought to 30 percent completion.

Cliffs-Divide Project, Color?do

Surveys were begun to investigate the possibility of servicing lands
on Cattle Creek with a reservoir on Lime Creek and a canal from Lime Creek
to Cattle Creek. Field surveys were continued on the possibility of sup-
plying water to West Divide Creek by diversion from Crystal River through
McClure Pass and East Muddy Creek. A reconnaissance trip was made over
the area to set up specifications and formulate plans for accomplishment
of land classification work.
