Udall <br /> <br />-6- <br /> <br />January 29, 196~ <br /> <br />to the Firming Thermal SYBtems, in accordance with schedules for <br /> <br />such delivery as provided in the Contract, hydro generated electric <br /> <br />energy to the extent available from its navigation season energy <br /> <br />surplPB during each such navigation season equal to 117.5~ of itB <br /> <br />eBtimated non-navigation season energy deficiency during the next <br /> <br />following non-navigation season and may during any navigation season <br /> <br />so deliver additional quantities of hydro generated electric energy <br /> <br />provided that the aggregate quantity of hydro generated electric <br /> <br />energy delivered in any navigation season shall not exceed 1,500 <br /> <br />million kwh. Hydro generaFed electric energy so delivered by the <br />I . <br /> <br />United States to the Firming Thermal Systems is herein referred to, <br /> <br /> <br />as Banked Energy. The Firming Thermal Systems will credit the <br /> <br />United States for Banked Energy in a Banked Energy Account in terms <br /> <br />of kwh. The maximum quantity of Banked Energy to the credit of the <br />United States shall be permitted to reach 4,000 million kwh at any <br /> <br />time. <br /> <br />b. Beginning with the close of the navigation season in 1965 <br /> <br />the Firming Thermal Systems will deliver to the United States, in <br /> <br />exchange for Banked Energy, thermal generated electric energy in <br /> <br />quantities up to but not exceeding 85% of the kwh of Banked Energy <br /> <br />credited to the United States to meet the deficiencies in the hydro <br /> <br />supply of tlie United States in the amounts within reasonable <br />
