South Side Collection System

This system would begin Y/ith an intorception of t CD North f'ork of
Hunter Creek at elevation 10,700 feet 2,nd a tun",el 2.3 miles long from
this point to Chapman Gulch, About 2-1/2 mile 5 below the mouth of this
tunnel e. seco"d tunnel would be constructed in two sections from a
point on Chapman Gulch at elevation 10,050 feet to the South Fork of
the Fryingpan River where an 'interception would be made, "'1d thence to
the southwest s'ide of the Fryingpan River. A 2,600 foot siphon would
be constructed from the tun'Jel across the Fryingpan >livor to " junction
point with the North Side Collection System 1.7 miles from the vlCet por-
tal of tho' Fryingpan-Arkans as Tunno1. From thi s point a cut and covor
conduit would bo constructed for tho convoyance of up to 800 second-fuet
or wall"r to tho Fryingpan-Arkansas Tunnol,
