DAMES 8 MOORE

Mr. Felix L. Sparks
June 17, 1977
Page 4

WORK PLAN

To attain the above objectives, we have developed a plan of approach

to this study that will result in a defensible final report. It is assumed

that full cooperation of the USER will be available. It is contemplated

that field exploration data, laboratory data, reports, working papers and

computations will be available for our use. Conferences and personal

contact with USBR personnel will also be required and it has been assumed

that this will not be a problem.

If, during our review, areas of additional required studies are

identified, our report will recommend the nature and scope of such studies.

Performance of such studies is considered outside the scope of this contract.

Our proposed plan of work is presented in the following paragraphs.

Data Collection

As soon as possible after receiving a notice to proceed, a meeting

will be held with the USER at their offices. The purpose of this meeting

will be threefold: to receive a general briefing on the project from USER

personnel; to obtain pertinent dat~, reports and computations; and to

establish contact with designated USBR personnel in each of the major

areas to be covered in our study.

General Project Review

A brief, general review of the project will be performed in order to

acquaint the Principal Investigators with the geology of the area, the

construction materials available at the site, and the project concept as

developed by the USER.
