As planned, this reservoir will fluctuate behmen elevations 8112 and 8118 except during the lIDnth of June when elevations as high as 8130 may be reached. III BASIC INFOm~,TION Willow Creek Reservoir is located in Grand County, Colorado, on Willow Creek, about two and a half airline miles west of Granby Reservoir. The prime purpose of the vJillowCreek Reservoir is to serve as a d:iversion, exporting water from 1fillow Creek to Granby Reservoir through a canal and pumping plant. The plan of operation provides that th:is reservoir will regulate flows in excess of pumping plant capacity of 400 c.f.s. to maintain a water surface elevation of 8116 as much of the time as possible. The water surface elevation of Hillow Croek Reservoir will vary between 8112.4 to 8130.0. The surface area will l:ike- wise vary from 118 acres to approximately 300 acres. In most yoars active storage above elevation 8118 would bo oxperienced only in June, while during the remaindor of the year the water surface would probably vary from 8112 to 8118. The scheduled completion date of the dam is Lpril 1, 1953, and the estimated project cost is $1,389,101. Prcliminary discussions 1i-Lth the Fish and Wildlifo Sorvice indi- cate that fishing in the reservoir will be good. It is believed that stream fishing downstream from the dam may also be good. 3 .
