~

e

e

.

Imperial Dam and NIB. Values in the BYPASSED KAF column are ignored in the
water and salt load budget calculation, an accounting of these flows is kept in
the TOTAL BYPASSED FLOWS data set.

KTONS values are calculated from the KAF and P/M values, (bypassed and to
river) and used in the accounting of bypassed flo~s and the salt load budget
analysis.

South Gila Draina~e Pump Outlet Channels:

This data set represents the total pumped drainage from the South Gila Valley.
Flow values are entered in the TOTAL KAF column and salinity values are entered
in the P/M column. If no data is entered in the TO MODE KAF column, the
spreadsheet assumes that all flows are considered as inflows between Imperial
Dam and NIB and shown in the TO RIVER KAF column. If data is entered into the
TO MODE KAT column, the values entered are subtracted from the TO RIVER KAT
column and are ignored in the flow and salt load budget.

The values entered in the TO MODE KAF column are added to the flows in the
BYPASSED KAT column-under the Wellton-Mohawk Drainage Flows, and become part of
the total flows bypassed to the Santa Clara Slough. An accounting of these
bypassed flows is kept in the TOTAL BYPASSED FLOWS data set.

From the KAF and P/M values, KTONS values are calculated (to river and to MODE)
and used in the accounting of bypassed flows and the salt load budget analysis.

Total Bypassed Flows:

This is the sum of the KAT and KTONS of the BYPASSED Wellton_Mohawk Drainage
Flows and the South Gila Drainage Pump Outlet Channels TO MODE columns. The
salinity values are calculated from the resultant values in the KAT and KTONS
columns. No data is entered for this data set.

This data set is not considered to be an inflow between Imperial Dam and NIB.
This data set is ignored by the flow and salt load budgets.

Yuma Mesa Conduit to River:

This data represents the total flow from the Yuma Mesa Conduit. Flow values
are entered in the KAY column and salinity values are entered in the PIM
column. The KTONS are calculated from the flow and salinity (KAT and PIM
columns). These values are considered as inflows to the river and are
accounted for in the flow and salt load budgets.

Unmeasured Flows to River:

These values of flow and salinity are from column 9 of Table 2 (1). They are
entered into the KAT and P/M columns respectively. KTONS are calculated from
the flow and salinity (KAF and PIM columns). These values are residuals from
the budget analysis done by Table 2. These flows are considered as inflows to
the river and are accounted for in the flow and salt load budgets.
