<br />\-\'{~ <br /> <br />Task 6, Monitoring/evaluation (May 1998-Jul 1999) <br /> <br />Evaluate site floodability/drainability; monitor post-construction <br />topography and channel morphology. <br /> <br />Candidate Sites for FY 98 Construction Oversiaht <br /> <br />The following sites have been approved for restoration by the <br />Recovery Program: <br /> <br />-Horseshoe Bend <br />-Baeser Bend <br />-Above Brennan <br />-Johnson Bottom <br />-Leota Bottom <br />-Gravel Pit at 29 5/8 Road (reconfiguration) <br />-Jarvi s Si te <br /> <br />Candidate Sites for FY 97-98 Acquisition and/or Restoration <br /> <br />Candidate sites identified by the Land Acquisition Coordinator that <br />appear to have potential value as endangered fish habitat will <br />require pre-acquisition and/or pre-restoration surveys, As of June <br />1997, 14 owners of -3,000 acres have shown interest in selling their <br />lands; 7 owners of -180 acres along the Colorado River; and 2 owners <br />of 80 acres along the Gunnison River, Some of these sites will have <br />been surveyed by the end of FY 97. As private lands and partnership <br />lands along the Green. Colorado. and Gunnison rivers continue to <br />become available. they will need to undergo floodability assessments <br />as part of the pre-acquisition and pre-restoration processes, <br /> <br />V II 1.
