A typical breakdown of
these sites would be two repeaters, two or three stream gauges, and two to
four rainguages.

The Regional Building Department will supply all materials and equipment
required for remote installations. The primary material required is redi
mix concrete. Equipment includes a ladder, shovel, pick, mixing pan, and
drop bar. A detailed list will be supplied with the system manuals.

One month prior to installation Sierra/Misco will send two complete
hardware manuals and an .instructional video tape (VHS format) of a
rain gauge installation to enable the Regional Building Department field
personnel to prepare for the installation.

2.9.3 System Start Up

System start up will be successfully completed when both base stations, one
repeater, two stream gauges, and two raingauges are all operational.

System start up also includes the training which will allow the Regional
Building Department field personnel to successfully complete the system
installation after the departure of Sierra/Misco's field engineer. The
training will also prepare them for the preventative maintenance and
toubleshooting required to keep the system operating.

The system start up will be completed in the two week period that the
Sierra/Misco field engineer is on site.
