Rotation <br /> <br />schedules are being set up for the routine maintenance and inspection of the <br />project facilities. <br /> <br />The Electrical/Mechanical Maintenance is more complex and the present <br /> <br />Electrical/Mechanical Maintenance Branch staff is very involved in the start up <br /> <br /> <br />as completed features of the project come on line and are key personnel in the <br /> <br /> <br />development of the project operating procedures. <br /> <br />The power system maintenance will be contracted out, as will electric motor <br />and pump repair and rebuilding. Sutron Corporation contracted for installation <br />of the PMSC system and the contract provided for a maintenance agreement. <br /> <br />Inventories of spare pumps and motors, RTUs, well components, electrical <br />components, PVC canal lining materials, and stockpiles of cover material and <br />gravel road surfacing will be maintained for use in emergencies and routine <br />maintenance. These inventories were provided as part of the construction <br /> <br />contracts. <br /> <br />B. Operation <br /> <br />Operation of the Closed Basin Division is proposed to be transferred to the <br /> <br />RGWCD within five years after completion of the last stage of construction. <br /> <br />During this period the operating procedures will be developed and verified. <br /> <br />Development of operating procedures will take close coordination and involvement <br /> <br />by the Operating Committee, RGWCD, State of Colorado Division of Water Resources <br /> <br />and project operation and water quality and ground water control personnel. <br />These operating criteria will be amended from time to time to reflect developing <br /> <br />operating procedures.
