Consumptive Use Model

1. Select the crop type by clicking on the down arrow in the Edit Crop scroll down list.
2. Change the crop coefficient value (KC) by clicking and editing the desired field. the period can't be
edited.

2.5.5 Viewin!! Weather Data
The Weather Data window allows you to view, plot, and/or print temperature and precipitation data
from one or more stations during one or more years.

1. Select the station(s) and the year(s) of the data you want to view. The period of record shown is for
all the data available in the file. To select multiple stations or years, hold down the control and/or
shift keys and select with the mouse (shift selects all entries between the first and second mouse
click and the control key selects orunselects more than one entry. The data will appear in the lower
window. Each of the entries has an average temperature by month (1-12). When you plot or print
only the data in the lower window will be used.

2. To plot the data, select the data type (tempept>,lre or precipitation) you want to plot and press the
Plot button.To close the graph, click on the I25J icon in the top right corner of the graph window.

3. The Write button is used to save the data in a text file, a browser window will be displayed to enter
the name and location of the file.

4. To print data, select the Print button. The print and display properties can be specified in using the
Properties Window (Figure 6) by selecting the Properties button.

5. The Kim-Pen button plots the data for the ET reference crop used for the Kimberly-Penman
method. The crop coefficients multiplied by the reference crop values yield a value for the
consumptive use for an area.
