BASE CASE -

The Base Case uses the depletion schedule documented in
the Oualitv of Water. Colorado River Basin. Proaress
Report 15, with some revisions to the Central Utah
Project and Navajo Indian Irrigation Project
depletions.

MODIFIED DEPLETIONS CASE -

This case uses an updated depletion schedule for the
Upper Basin that reflects an improved estimate of
future depletions. This case will be the general
standard, against which all other cases will be
compared.

90% SURPLUS & MODIFIED DEPLETIONS CASE -

This case uses a surplus strategy designed to allow
flood releases only 10 percent of the time. The
depletion schedule used is the Modified Depletions Case
schedule.

SURPLUS 1 & MODIFIED DEPLETIONS CASE -

This case discards the current surplus strategy and
uses, in lieu thereof, a declaration of surplus when
the contents of Lake Mead is greater than 60 percent of
available capacity, excluding 1.5 MAF exclusive flood
control space (15,526 MAF). The depletion schedule
used is the Modified Depletions Case schedule.

SURPLUS 2 & MODIFIED ~EPLETIONS CASE -

This case discards the current surplus strategy and
uses, in lieu thereof, a declaration of surplus when
the contents of Lake Mead is greater than 70 percent of
available capacity, excluding 1.5 MAF exclusive flood
control space (18,114 MAF). The depletion schedule
used is the Modified Depletions Case schedule.

SURPLUS 3 CASE & MODIFIED DEPLETIONS CASE -

This case discards the current surplus strategy and
uses, in lieu thereof, a declaration of surplus when
the contents of Lake Mead is greater than 80 percent of
available capacity, excluding 1.5 MAF exclusive flood
control space (20,702 MAF).
