QUALITY OF WATER In the event that delivery of .....ter is made from the Closed Basin into the Rio Grande, sufficient samples of such water shall be analyzed to ascertain whether the quality thereof is within the limits established by the Compact. REPORTS TO COMMISSIONERS !! The Commission, subject to the approval of the Director of the United States Geological Survey, shall enter into a cooperative agree- ment with tl1.e Geological Survey which shall provide that said survey shall. (a) Collect and correlate all factual data and other records having a bearing upon the administration of the Compact and shall keep eaoh Commissioner advised thereof. (b) Inspect all ga~ing stations maintained by the Commission, the several states, or others required in administration of the Compaot, end make reoommendations to the Commission as to any ehanges or improTements to suoh stations and for the addition of new stations to the end that reliable reoords may be had for the purpose of carrying out the prorls ions of the Compact. (0) Report to each Commissioner by letter on or before the fif- teenth day of each month, except January, a summary of all hydrographic data then available tor the current year - on forms prescribed by the Commission - pertaining to (1) de- liveries by ColoradO, (2) deliveries by New Mexico, end (3) release and spill from Project sto~age. (d) Compile a complete repo~t covering the operations of the Geological Survey under its agreement with ths Commission and submit it to. the Commission at its regular meeting in February of eaoh year, together with a summary of all faotua1 data pertaining to the preceding oalendar year required by the Commissioners in adminietration of the provisions of the Compact. (e) Perform such other services for the Commission as may be reasonably requested fran time to time in connection with administration of the Compact.' Said agreement between the U. S. Geo10gioal Survey and the Rio Grande Compact Commission shall provide for the payment of a predeter- mined amount which shell be borne equally by the three .states, and for payment thereof in quarterly installments at times consistent with the fiscal periOdS of the several states. y The substitution of this paragraph for former paragraph titled "Secretary" adopted at Annual Meeting, February 1947.
