The Colorado Division of Wildlife <br />(DOW) Comprehensive Management Plan, December <br />1977 sets the policies and objectives for <br />management of the wildlife in the State Regions <br />and provides priori ties for programs and <br />s tra tegies. <br /> <br />The Comprehensive Statewide Wildlife Management <br />Plan for National Forest System Lands in <br />Colorado, 1980-1984 identifies opportunities <br />for increased wildlife populations. <br /> <br />The objectives for both the southeast and <br />southwest regions include significant increases <br />in populatons of deer, elk, and bighorn sheep <br />to meet increaseing public needs. Improved <br />habitat and habitat diversity can help to meet <br />those needs. <br /> <br />c.
