<br />SAN JUAN-CHAMA <br />WATER ACCOUNTING <br />ALBUQUERQUE PROJECTS OFFICE <br />AUGUST 1993 <br /> <br />The natural inflow into Heron Reservoir during the month of August was computed <br />to be 950 acre-feet (af) as shown on Table 3. Net San Juan-Chama losses were <br />860 af as shown on Table 2. There were 3431 af of San Juan-Chama water diverted <br />through Azotea Tunnel during August. <br /> <br />There were 8602 af of San Juan-Chama water released from Heron during the month <br />of August. The total amount was from the City of Albuquerque's Pool in Heron and <br />stored in MRGCD's Pool in E1 Vado. <br /> <br />A summary sheet is provided for water delivered from Heron, E1 Vado, and Abiquiu <br />Reservoirs. <br /> <br />Total precipitation reported at <br />inches which is 116% of normal. <br />summarized in Tables 1-3. <br /> <br />Heron Reservoir for the month of August was 3.12 <br />The monthly computations for Heron Reservoir are <br /> <br />Total inflow into Nambe Falls Reservoir was computed to be 715 af. Evaporation <br />loss on the reservoir was 2 af. Table 4 summarizes San Juan-Chama water at <br />Otowi. <br /> <br />Estimated sediment deposition in the San Juan-Chama pools at Cochiti, Abiquiu, <br />and Jemez Canyon Reservoirs are presented in Tables 5A-5C. <br /> <br />Storage and evaporation of Rio Grande water in E1 Vado and Abiquiu reservoirs are <br />shown on Table 6. <br /> <br />All data are provisional and subject to revision as final data are collected and <br />analyzed. <br />
