<br />SAN JUAN-CHAMA <br />WATER ACCOUNTING <br />ALBUQUERQUE PROJECTS OFFICE <br />SEPTEMBER 1993 <br /> <br />The natural inflow into Heron Reservoir during the month of September was <br />computed to be 500 acre-feet (af) as shown on Table 3. Net San Juan-Chama losses <br />were 1230 af as shown on Table 2. There were 1672 af of San Juan-Chama water <br />diverted through Azotea Tunnel during September. <br /> <br />There were 1492 af of San Juan-Chama water released from Heron during the month <br />of September. 1446 af were released from the City of Albuquerque's pool, of <br />which 1291 af were stored in the MRGCD's pool in El Vado and 201 af, less <br />transportation losses, were stored temporarily in Abiquiu Reservoir. The <br />remaining 46 af were released for the Town of Bernalillo and temporarily held in <br />Abiquiu Reservoir and will be released at a later date. <br /> <br />A summary sheet is provided for water delivered from Heron, El Vado, and Abiquiu <br />Reservoirs. <br /> <br />Total precipitation reported at Heron Reservoir for the month of September was <br />1.16 inches which is 70% of normal. The monthly computations for Heron Reservoir <br />are summarized in Tables 1-3. <br /> <br />Total inflow into Nambe Falls Reservoir was computed to be 570 af. Evaporation <br />loss on the reservoir was 12 af. Table 4 summarizes San Juan-Chama water at <br />Otowi. <br /> <br />Estimated sediment deposition in the San Juan-Chama pools at Cochiti, Abiquiu, <br />and Jemez Canyon Reservoirs are presented in Tables 5A-5C. <br /> <br />Storage and evaporation of Rio Grande water in El Vado and Abiquiu reservoirs are <br />shown on Table ~. <br /> <br />All data are'provisional and subject to revision as final data are collected and <br />analyzed. <br />
