Because of funding limitations,

basic data collection was the only ongoing activity of the

Sinbad valley study. The BLM is currently in the process of

transferr ing all advance planning activities for Sinbad

Valley to Reclamation. Such a transfer was recommended in

the BLM's 1983 Sinbad Valley report. The Upper Colorado

Region of Reclamation has tentatively agreed to assume all
advanced planning activities in Sinbad Valley, and will seek
all necessary funds. Final transfer is waiting on Washington

Off ice approval.

Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS)

Fish and Wildlife Service responsibilities are those set

forth in the Endangered Species Act, Fish and wildlife Coor-

dination Act, Clean Water Act, National Environmental policy

Act, and the Migratory Bird Treaty Act.
