The report recommends

onfarm treatment for about 8,000 acres of irrigated cropland

and the consolidation of about 17 miles of canals and

laterals for an estimated salt load reduction of 9,000 tons

per year.
The Cooperative River Basin Study on the
Colorado River Indian Reservation was completed in 1985. The

report finds there is little or no salt pickup from this

area.

USDA does not recommend implementation of this unit.

Bureau of Land Management.

In 1985, the Bureau of Land Management's (BLM) salinity

control efforts were concentrated on the development of a

-13-

L
