The charge for water would be at a rate <br />sufficient to cover operating expenses and annual construction and <br />CM&R payments to the Government, The conservancy district would <br />accept orders for irrigation water from its customers and relay the <br />requests to the Bureau's South Platte River Projects Office. Releases <br />from the Narrows Reservoir would be scheduled by the Bureau in <br />accordance with the district's requests. The conservancy district <br />would be responsible for notifying the Colorado State Engineer of <br />water releases and the ownership of the water, The conservancy <br />district would not operate any of the irrigation facilities, but <br />would market the water to the customers and maintain records of all <br />deliveries, sales, and collections. <br /> <br />The conservancy district has established an office at Sterling, <br />Colo., and a secretary-manager'has been employed. Additional <br />personnel will be employed as the need develops. Table 8 presents <br />an estimate of the conservancy district's annual operating costs <br />after the unit is in operation. <br /> <br />*. <br /> <br />4l <br />
