Pending approval of his program the <br />contractor shall proceed with the work in accordance <br />with these specifications and his proposed construction <br /> <br />program. <br /> <br />The construction program shall be in such form and <br />detail as to show the following: <br /> <br />a. Sequence of operations. <br /> <br />b. The. dates for commencing and completing the <br />work on the several controlling features of the <br />project. (Including erection of constrl.;lction plant <br />and each item or group of like items involving <br />placement of concrete, if appiicable.1 <br /> <br />c. The dates of issuance of orders for procurement <br />of contractor.furnished materials and equipment <br />and their deiivery and installation dates. . <br /> <br />The construction program shall be in suitable form and <br />show the percentage of work scheduled for completion <br />each month, and shall include the contractor's estimate <br />of earnings bV months. The contractor's estimate of <br />earnings by months shall not obligate the Government <br />to provide funds in any manner other than as provided <br />in the paragraph of these specifications entitled "Funds <br />Available for Earnings." <br /> <br />An original or translucent reproducible and three <br />blackline prints of each construction program and each <br />revised program shall be submitted. Originals or <br />reproducibles shail be of such quality as to permit <br />clear, sharp, legible prints to be made by direct-contact <br />methods. <br /> <br />The contractor shall enter on the program the actual <br />progress at the end of each progress payment period or <br />at such other intervals as directed by the contracting <br />officer, and shall submit two such marked prints of the <br />program to the contracting officer's authorized <br />representative. <br /> <br />Timely submittal of the construction program and <br />timely revisions thereto are important. The <br />Government must have the information contained in <br />the construction program for such purposes as <br />scheduling the preparation of additional drawings <br />required for construction purposes and scheduling <br />services of inspectors and survey crews. Accordingly, <br />the contractor will be assessed as fixed, agreed and <br />liquidated damages the sum of twenty dollars 1$20) per <br />day for each calendar day's delay the contractor's <br />original construction program is late. Further. should <br /> <br />the contracting officer notify the contractor in writing <br />that a revision of the construction program is required <br />then liquidated damages in the amount of twenty <br />dollars ($20) per day will be assessed for each calendar <br />day beyond thirty (30) calendar days, after receipt of <br />such notification, that the contractor fails to submit <br />the required revision. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />....l <br /> <br />If the contractor elects to program the work by the <br />Oitical Path Method (CPM), or by a similar type of <br />network analysis system, he shall submit such program <br />in lieu of the program specified above including all <br />information required above. The contractor shall <br />submit translucent reproducibles of the network <br />diagram and of print-out or computation sheets for <br />such construction program. Reproducibles shall be of <br />such Quality as to permit clear, sharp, legible prints to <br />be made by direct-<:ontact methods. If requested, the <br />contractor shall also furnish a printout of the computer <br />data. <br /> <br />21. CONCRETE PLACEMENT <br />SCHEDULE <br /> <br />Within 60 days after notice to proceed, or such time as <br />extended by the contracting officer, the contractor <br />shall submit a detailed concrete placement schedule <br />shOWing his plans for placement of the individual <br />features units or other elements of the concrete work. <br />The concrete placement schedule shall be in such form <br />and detail as is necessary to show the location of the <br />concrete placements scheduled each month for each <br />item of concrete work. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Revised concrete placement schedules shall be <br />delivered to the contracting officer as soon as pOSSible <br />and shall show those elements of work completed, <br />those underway, and the appropriate revisions for <br />future concrete placement. <br /> <br />The Government will schedule preparation of drawings <br />for construction purposes in accordance with the <br />contractor's concrete placement schedule. The <br />Government-prepared draWings for any element of <br />concrete work. will normallv be furnished in time to <br />provide the contractor with a lead time of 90 days in <br />advance of the date shown in the contractor's concrete <br />placement schedule: Provided, That for any element of <br />work. which the contractor considers such lead time as <br />insufficient, the Government will. on timely request of <br />the contractor in writing. provide a reasonable increase <br />in lead time where, as determined by the contracting <br />officer. the facts justify such increase. <br /> <br />... <br /> <br />" <br /> <br />Should the contractor's rate of progress fall behind his <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />12 <br />
