operations and shall provide for orderly performance
of the work. Pending approval of his program the
contractor shall proceed with the work in accordance
with these specifications and his proposed construction

program.

The construction program shall be in such form and
detail as to show the following:

a. Sequence of operations.

b. The. dates for commencing and completing the
work on the several controlling features of the
project. (Including erection of constrl.;lction plant
and each item or group of like items involving
placement of concrete, if appiicable.1

c. The dates of issuance of orders for procurement
of contractor.furnished materials and equipment
and their deiivery and installation dates. .

The construction program shall be in suitable form and
show the percentage of work scheduled for completion
each month, and shall include the contractor's estimate
of earnings bV months. The contractor's estimate of
earnings by months shall not obligate the Government
to provide funds in any manner other than as provided
in the paragraph of these specifications entitled "Funds
Available for Earnings."

An original or translucent reproducible and three
blackline prints of each construction program and each
revised program shall be submitted. Originals or
reproducibles shail be of such quality as to permit
clear, sharp, legible prints to be made by direct-contact
methods.

The contractor shall enter on the program the actual
progress at the end of each progress payment period or
at such other intervals as directed by the contracting
officer, and shall submit two such marked prints of the
program to the contracting officer's authorized
representative.

Timely submittal of the construction program and
timely revisions thereto are important. The
Government must have the information contained in
the construction program for such purposes as
scheduling the preparation of additional drawings
required for construction purposes and scheduling
services of inspectors and survey crews. Accordingly,
the contractor will be assessed as fixed, agreed and
liquidated damages the sum of twenty dollars 1$20) per
day for each calendar day's delay the contractor's
original construction program is late. Further. should

the contracting officer notify the contractor in writing
that a revision of the construction program is required
then liquidated damages in the amount of twenty
dollars ($20) per day will be assessed for each calendar
day beyond thirty (30) calendar days, after receipt of
such notification, that the contractor fails to submit
the required revision.

If the contractor elects to program the work by the
Oitical Path Method (CPM), or by a similar type of
network analysis system, he shall submit such program
in lieu of the program specified above including all
information required above. The contractor shall
submit translucent reproducibles of the network
diagram and of print-out or computation sheets for
such construction program. Reproducibles shall be of
such Quality as to permit clear, sharp, legible prints to
be made by direct-<:ontact methods. If requested, the
contractor shall also furnish a printout of the computer
data.

21. CONCRETE PLACEMENT
SCHEDULE

Within 60 days after notice to proceed, or such time as
extended by the contracting officer, the contractor
shall submit a detailed concrete placement schedule
shOWing his plans for placement of the individual
features units or other elements of the concrete work.
The concrete placement schedule shall be in such form
and detail as is necessary to show the location of the
concrete placements scheduled each month for each
item of concrete work.

Revised concrete placement schedules shall be
delivered to the contracting officer as soon as pOSSible
and shall show those elements of work completed,
those underway, and the appropriate revisions for
future concrete placement.

The Government will schedule preparation of drawings
for construction purposes in accordance with the
contractor's concrete placement schedule. The
Government-prepared draWings for any element of
concrete work. will normallv be furnished in time to
provide the contractor with a lead time of 90 days in
advance of the date shown in the contractor's concrete
placement schedule: Provided, That for any element of
work. which the contractor considers such lead time as
insufficient, the Government will. on timely request of
the contractor in writing. provide a reasonable increase
in lead time where, as determined by the contracting
officer. the facts justify such increase.
