The reservoir will also offset silting problems, inasmuch <br />as Guernsey Reservoir, due to infiltration of silt, is decreasing in <br />capacity at the rate of 1,000 to 1,500 acre-feet per year. The dam will <br />be of earthfill construction. <br /> <br />Program FY49 <br />Funds available, ::?943 ,287 . <br /> <br />Construction was to be started <br />on Goverrunent housing and <br />Glondo Dam following the resol- <br />ving of problems posed by Con- <br />gressional limitation on size <br />of the dam. <br /> <br />-, <br /> <br />Accomplishments FY49 <br /> <br />Costs to June 30, $435,756 <br /> <br />No construction was undertaken, Con- <br />ferences have been held between the <br />States of Nebraska, Wyoming, and <br />Colorado and a settlelllOnt of the <br />problem should be made vory soon, <br /> <br />" <br /> <br />KENDRICK PROJECT <br /> <br />Description: Kendrick Project is located principally in Carbon <br />and Natrona Counties, Wyoming. The four major features comprising the <br />project are Seminoe Dam and Power Plant, Alcova Dam, Casper Canal and <br />Lateral system, and an extensive transmission line system (610 miles). <br />The total project is designed to irrigate 50,000 acres. Irrigation <br />features are now under construction for irrigation of some 22,000 <br />acres. <br /> <br />Program FY49 <br />Funds available, $1,464,298. <br /> <br />Construction was scheduled <br />for completion on the Casper- <br />Seminoe and Medicine Bow- <br />Hanna Transmission Lines and <br />to start on Casper and Medicine <br />Bow Substations. Lining of <br />canal system was to start. <br /> <br />Accomplishments FY49 <br />Costs to June 30, $733,466. <br /> <br />The Medicine Bow-Hanna Transmis- <br />sion Line was completed. The <br />Seminoe-Kortes portion of the line <br />was 40 percent complete and Kortes- <br />Casper portion was 95 percent com- <br />plete on Juno 30, 1949. <br /> <br />Construction was well underway on <br />the Casper and Medicine Bow Sub- <br />stations. <br /> <br />49 <br />
