The four major features comprising the project are Seminoe Dam and Power Plant, Alcova Dam, Casper Canal and Lateral system, and an extensive transmission line system (610 miles). The total project is designed to irrigate 50,000 acres. Irrigation features are now under construction for irrigation of some 22,000 acres. Program FY49 Funds available, $1,464,298. Construction was scheduled for completion on the Casper- Seminoe and Medicine Bow- Hanna Transmission Lines and to start on Casper and Medicine Bow Substations. Lining of canal system was to start. Accomplishments FY49 Costs to June 30, $733,466. The Medicine Bow-Hanna Transmis- sion Line was completed. The Seminoe-Kortes portion of the line was 40 percent complete and Kortes- Casper portion was 95 percent com- plete on Juno 30, 1949. Construction was well underway on the Casper and Medicine Bow Sub- stations. 49
